Weight Training Lifts Spirits

Breast cancer treatment can be physically and mentally draining. So a study that has found weight training can significantly improve quality of life for women recently treated for breast cancer is welcome news.

Breast cancer is a malignant tumour developed from cells within the breast. It is one of the most common types of cancer among women. Most breast lumps are benign (not cancerous) leaving fibrous tissue that cause swelling and pain. Benign tissue is not life-threatening and cannot spread from the breast to other organs.
